Metallica headed to Clare after they rocked Slane Castle last weekend. The band shared images of their downtime while they took in the Irish sights.
The metal legends surprised locals who were delighted to see the rockers on their home ground as they visited the village of Liscannor.
At the Cliffs of Moher, drummer Lars Ulrich shared some photos on his social media account.
Posing at the edge of the cliff with a huge smile on his face, the artist said: ‘Incredible day at the very edge of Ireland.’
Then the metallers stopped off for a bit of food in a local pub. They hit up into Vaughan’s Anchor Inn, where frontman James Hetfield posed with the kitchen staff. The pubs Instagram account read: ‘Metallica popped in for a bite to eat.’
