It was recently revealed that the Pixies, Foals and new kids on the block Wolf Alice will be playing at NOS Alive in Portugal next year. Father John Misty & José González will also appear in Lisbon between July 7-9 next year.
The Pixies are co-headliners for the festival which takes place in the centre of Lisbon during the summer. The festival will be celebrating it’s tenth year in 2016.
On the Thursday night The Pixies will co-headline with a yet unannounced band. Other acts that will be performing at the festival includes the previously mentioned Foals, M83 and Years and Years.
NOS Alive was previously known as Optimus Alive and has hosted the likes of Arctic Monkeys, The Libertines, Foals, Depeche Mode, Radiohead, The Cure, Pearl Jam, Beastie Boys, Smashing Pumpkins, Bob Dylan and Blondie over the years.
Last year’s line up had some big names aswell with the likes of Django Django, Sam Smith, Counting Crows, James Bay, Sleaford Mods and Azealia Banks playing at the festival.
The Pixies announced earlier this year that they are working on a new album. It will be a follow up to Indie Cindy which released last year. Speaking about the new material, guitarist Joey Santiago said “These songs are a little more precious, a little more shy to come out live.”
