Producer Andrew Watt has shared a fresh update regarding the health of Black Sabbath's Ozzy Osbourne, ahead of his final show.
Osbourne, who has collaborated with Watt, is making preparations ahead of his final solo performance and final gig with Black Sabbath, which takes place in Birmingham, UK, on July 5. The show, titled, , 'Back To The Beginning', and will see the line up of Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, and Bill Ward reunite and perform live on stage.
Other artists, Billy Corgan, Fred Durst, KK Downing, Tom Morello, Wolfgang Van Halen, Jake E. Lee. David Draiman, Andrew Watt, Dave Ellefson, and Whitfield Crane will also feature. More on this story from Nova here.
Speaking about the Prince of Darkness' health, producer Andrew Watt has said that Ozzy has been hitting the gym hard ahead of this show, and that his voice is "as good as it's ever been".
"He's okay," Watt added. "His body is not doing what doing what he wants it to do all the time, but I talked to him a couple of days ago, and he's starting to get in the gym again a little, to get himself ready for this last concert. He is the real life Iron Man. And nothing has happened to his voice, his voice is as good as it's ever been".
Andrew Watt also revealed that he will be performing at this show in Birmingham in the Summer.
The running order for this event has yet to be confirmed, but a post on Metallica's website had stated: "As part of this huge celebration of nearly six decades of Black Sabbath, we’ll hit the stage just before a short solo set from Ozzy Osbourne, followed by the mighty Sabbath closing the show".
"Our admiration for Black Sabbath runs deep, and we cannot wait to be a part of this historic event! We’ll see you in Birmingham!".
