Record breaking Imax concert film, Queen Rock Montreal, will be available to stream on Disney+ from next month.

The film will be available to stream when it premieres on the platform on May 15, and will be available with Imax enhanced sound by DTS.

This announce also underpins Imax’s plans to create and distribute more films in the future. It is the latest in a long term relationship between Imax and Disney.

Along with Queen Rock Montreal, other films which will be available with Imax enhanced sound also include, “Avengers: Infinity War,” “Avengers: Endgame,” “Black Panther,” “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” “Guardians of the Galaxy (Volumes 2 and 3),” “Black Widow” and “Doctor Strange”.

In the original Queen Rocks Montreal film, the band which included the late Freddie Mercury, performed back to back nights at the venue in November 1981.

The film which was also arranged to be filmed as a full length concert, also saw Queen perform classic hits including ‘Another One Bites The Dust’, ‘Somebody To Love’, and ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’.

Restored to Imax by Mercury Studios, Alice Webb and George Kempin will serve as executive producers for Mercury Studios, alongside Matilda Beach and Jim Beach for Queen Films.

Back in February, the famous collaboration between the band and the late David Bowie ‘Under Pressure’, was chosen as the soundtrack for a new Adidas advert. More on this here.
