Queens Of The Stone Age have officially revealed that they are going back into the studio this year. They will be making the follow up to 2013's ...Like Clockwork.
In a new interview, guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen spoke about the direction that the band are going on their next album. He said that the band are looking to record a "simpler" album than their previous one.
During the interview on the 2 Hours With Matt Pinfield podcast, Van Leeuwen said "We've already started talking about what we’re gonna do next for the next Queens record," before adding "There’s tons of ideas that are bouncing around... We’re going to do something before the end of the year, as far as recording goes."
He continued saying "We’re excited to get back together to follow-up '...Like Clockwork', which was a really, really big record for us, personally... It was a big record for us because it was the hardest record to make. And we're trying to not do that again. We just want to keep things simpler and try that, I guess."
