Dubliners were waking up today hoping to get involved in Radio Nova’s ‘Help Our Homeless’ Radiothon with Focus Ireland and we were fully geared up for the two day event.
Regretfully, we’ve had to make the decision to postpone the Radiothon and reschedule to Wednesday, March 7th and Thursday, March 8th due to the severe weather.
There has been a red alert severe weather warning issued for Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Wicklow and Meath. With that in mind we have a duty of care to our staff and the staff of Focus Ireland and their volunteers.
Their safety is paramount and with that in mind we made the decision to postpone the Nova Radiothon.
We would urge people during this extreme cold snap to consider the homeless and the people forced to sleep on our streets. This Radiothon is for their benefit and they should be at the top of our minds during this severe weather.
So don't forget that the new days for Radio Nova’s ‘Help Our Homeless’ Radiothon with Focus Ireland are now Wednesday, March 7th and Thursday, March 8th and we would like to thank all Radio Nova listeners for their patience and understanding.
