Radio Nova has received six nominations in the IMRO Radio Awards, showcasing the best and brightest talents across the Irish radio industry.
Morning Glory with PJ Gallagher and Jim McCabe is up for the Best ‘Breakfast Programme’ while DJ of the Year, Dee Woods in ‘The Nova Lunchbreak’ is in the running for Best General Music Programme.
In the running for Best Short Feature is “The Greatest Gender Benders of Music” along with “Station Imaging” and Sunday Night’s Nova Guestlist host Kieran McGuinness is in the running for back to back Gold for ‘Specialist Music Broadcaster of the Year’
A Radio Nova documentary by The Irish Sun’s Showbiz Editor Ken Sweeney has also been shortlisted for an IMRO Radio Award in the ‘Music, Arts and Culture Documentary’ category. “The Trashcan Sinatras” tells the story of the Scottish indie band who have survived bankruptcy and serious illness to release six acclaimed albums.
The IMRO Radio Award winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony on October 4th at the prestigious Lyrath Estate Hotel in Kilkenny.
