It has recently been announced that Radiohead will be headlining yet another European festival this year. They will headline Lollapalooza in Berlin in September.
The band will be joined by Major Lazer and Kings Of Leon as they have announced another festival date for 2016. It is the second year of the festival in Berlin and it will be held at Treptower Park, Berlin between September 10-11.
With its original incarnation running in North America from 1991-1997, Lollapalooza relaunched in 2005, since organising overseas editions in Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Columbia and now most recently in Berlin.
Radiohead will headline the Sunday leg of the 2016 event. Other acts who have been announced include Kings of Leon, New Order, Jess Glynne, Catfish And The Bottlemen, Major Lazer, The 1975, James Blake & Years & Years.
It is one of a number of recent festival announcements from the band with the group already scheduled to play Primavera Sound, Spain and NOS Alive Portugal, Secret Solstice in Reykjavik and OpenAir St Gallen Festival in Switzerland.
Radiohead also confirmed a number of headline slots across North America this summer, including the Chicago edition of Lollapalooza, San Francisco’s Outside Lands and Montreal’s Osheaga Music Festival.
There are rumours that they could be headlining Glastonbury this year also, with the acts already nailed down. However as of yet the headliners are still unannounced.
