We brought you the news yesterday that the music festivals in both Reading and Leeds were to go ahead this Summer! Well you'll hardly be shocked to discover that tickets for the festival in Reading have already sold out.
Both events will go ahead on the bank holiday weekend in August, after the British Government announced plans to exit Lockdown by June.
The festival's official Twitter account confirmed last night that both the day and weekend tickets have sold out in Reading.
They also added that weekend tickets have sold out in Leeds as well as tickets for 28 August. Stormzy is to headline this event.
Liam Gallagher, Post Malone, Queens of the Stone Age and Catfish & The Bottlemen are to also perform at the festivals.
This news about Reading and Leeds' festivals comes after New York Governor Andrew Cuomo confirmed a return of concerts in stadiums. They will operate at 10% capacity.
At the time, Mr Cuomo said, “While we continue to fight Covid on multiple fronts, we must also get this economy reopened intelligently and in a balanced way”.
Adding, "Live sports and entertainment (concerts) have long been engrained in the fabric of New York and the inability to hold events has only added to the isolation we have all felt at the hands of this virus”.
Their Chief Medical Officer, Dr Anthony Fauci said that he expects concerts and live events to return fully in the US by Autumn.
