Red Hot Chili Peppers have finally announced the name of their new album. They recently revealed that it is called The Getaway and it will be out on June 17th.
As well as revealing details about the new album, Red Hot Chili Peppers released a new single called “Dark Necessities’. The album is the follow-up to 2011’s I’m With You, which was the band’s first album with new guitarist Josh Klinghoffer.
The new album was recorded with producer Danger Mouse and was later mixed by Nigel Godrich who is best known for producing most of Radiohead’s records.
The band also released the full tracklist for the new album which has a total of 13 tracks. Red Hot Chili Peppers also recently released the artwork for The Getaway which you can check out down below.

Speaking about the album previously, Flea said that the album breaks new ground for them. He said “Danger Mouse is producing this time, instead of Rick Rubin. Were heading into a new era and we’re really excited.”
The new track from the Red Hot Chili Peppers sees them going in a new direction, but it’s one that doesn’t stray too far from the band’s original sound. You can have a listen to their new track ‘Dark Necessities’ down below.
