Ringo Starr has said that he loves the "atmosphere" of Los Angeles.
Starr, who has lived in LA on and off since 1973, has stated that he adores everything about living in the city.
"When I first came to America and we landed in New York, I wanted to live in New York", Starr said in a recent interview with Mojo magazine. "And then we want on tours around and we came to Los Angeles, I'd think, 'Uh ... maybe Los Angeles. No New York! Maybe Los Angeles. L ... A!".
The Beatles legend also added: "I just loved the atmosphere. I loved the light. I loved the heat".
Despite this, Ringo Starr has insisted that he has never been tempted to take a dip into the Pacific Ocean.
"It took me seven years to go to the ocean", he said. "A limo took me down the Pacific Coast Highway. I got out the car, walked across the beach, put my feet in the water, turned around, walked back to the car and went for lunch".
Last month, Ringo Starr also admitted that he has never eaten a curry or a pizza either.
