Jimmy Page has been accused of spying on his neighbour, Robbie Williams.
Williams bought his house from Michael Winner in 2013 and he was granted planning permission last summer to make renovations to the West London property. However, the pop star has been involved in ongoing discussions with his Led Zeppelin neighbour about the renovations.
Williams recently appeared on Italian radio show ‘Radio Deejay’ where he reportedly spoke of the problem with Page off-air “Jimmy has been sitting in his car outside our house, four hours at a time. He’s recording the workmen to see if they’re making too much noise. The builders came in and he was asleep in his garden waiting. It’s like a mental illness.”
After being asked if Page was “kind of an asshole”, the popstar is reported to have said “He’s not ‘kind of’, no, no, no, let me tell you: Our next door neighbour isn’t happy with us trying to renovate our house and it has caused a problem and it will probably continue to cause a problem.”
Williams allegedly added, “But what is great about this whole thing is it’s Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin, and it’s not Jimmy the accountant from Chelsea so at least we’ve got a good story… I think Jimmy is bored. I’m next door now, I’ve got a studio in my house. We could write songs together”.
