Reports are circulating around the internet about one of music's unlikeliest pairings with The Who singer, Roger Daltrey teaming up with former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher.

The supergroup is completed with current Who drummer Zak Starkey and Ian Broudie, guitarist with the Lightning Seeds. The group recorded a version of The Who's classic 'My Generation' for a one off special of TFI Friday.

The show originally ran from 1996 to 2000 and featured a number of high profile Britpop bands such as Oasis. TFI Friday was presented by Radio 1 DJ Chris Evans who will return for the special episode on this Friday June 12th.

Other guests on the show include Blur, the Stone Roses and Years and Years.

Roger will be back with The Who who will play Dublin's 3Arena on June 23rd.
