The Rolling Stones have gone back into their archives and released a new clip showing the band performing ‘Angie’ in 1982. The clip is from their new project titled From The Vault: Live in Leeds Roundhay Park 1982.
It was released back in November and it sees the band playing the finale of their European tour in support of their 1981 album Tattoo You. It was the album that put the band back on the map in the 80’s.
The song in the video ‘Angie’ was from their 1973 album Goat’s Head Soup which went to number 1 in several countries such as the US, Canada, Australia, France, Norway & Switzerland to name a few.
The new From The Vault package from The Rolling Stones was the band’s last performance together for seven years. It was also the last performance by pianist Ian Stewart who died in 1985.
Other clips released by the band from the show saw them playing ‘Some Girls’, ‘When The Whip Comes Down’ & ‘Shattered’ from the same Leeds show.
The Rolling Stones will be back on the road in February with their first South American tour in over a decade. You can check out the clip of The Stones performing ‘Angie’ at Leeds in 1982 down below.
