As AC/DC fans await the band’s new album, it’s emerged their drummer will be releasing one of his own.

Phil Rudd’s Head Job will be out before the end of the summer and is inspired by the AC/DC drummer’s personal experiences.

The first single from the record is called ‘Repo Man’. Listen to it below.

Meanwhile, AC/DC have already confirmed their next album has been recorded in Vancouver and a world tour will follow.

The band are without Malcolm Young, who’s had to step down due to illness and is replaced by his nephew Stevie Young on the new record.

Malcolm’s band mates even considered calling 2008′s Black Ice follow up, Man Down, in tribute to the ill rhythm guitarist.

It’s 34 years this week since the Aussie rockers released their biggest, and one of the world’s best-selling albums: Back In Black.

The release, on July 21st, 1980  followed the death of their lead singer Bon Scott in February of that year and was the first AC/DC album to feature Brian Johnson at the helm.

You can hear the full album (with no ads!) on Thursday, July 24th when it’s the Classic Album At Midnight on Nova Nights.
