Ryan Gosling is to perform 'I'm Just Ken' at next month's Oscars ceremony, according to reports.

It has been reported that the actor will join Mark Ronson on stage at the Academy Awards.

Rumours of Gosling's performance of the soundtrack on stage at the ceremony had spread since the nominees were announced last month.

Ryan Gosling was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Ken in the Greta Gerwig directed movie, while Barbie also received a nod for Best Original Song for 'I'm Just Ken', along with 'What Was I Made For' by Billie Eilish.

According to reports in Variety, the Academy declined to comment on Ryan Gosling's reported performance.

"open to it"

Speaking previously on performing the hit soundtrack at the event, Ryan Gosling had said that he was open to the idea, but had not been approached as of early February.

“It might be too much of a risk to have me do it. I don’t know how that would work. But I’m open to it", the actor had said.

Mark Ronson who produced the track, had also stated that he would only perform the track with Gosling.

“No, I think if Ryan doesn’t do it then we’re not doing it", he said in a previous interview.

Despite giving the movie eight awards nominations, the Academy have received strong backlash after Gosling's co-star Margot Robbie, and director Greta Gerwig missed out on the Best Actress and Best Director award nods respectively.

“There’s no way to feel sad when you know you’re this blessed", Robbie had previously said of this.

On Gerwig's snub, she added, “Obviously, I think Greta should be nominated as a director. What she did is a once-in-a-career, once-in-a-lifetime thing. What she pulled off, it really is. But it’s been an incredible year for all the films".

One person who will be there is Irish actor Cillian Murphy.

Murphy who was nominated for Best Actor for his role in the Christopher Nolan directed Oppenheimer, will be looking to add to his Golden Globe, BAFTA, and SAG Award wins.
