A search is underway after reports a young boy fell into the River Boyne in Co Louth last night.
It is believed the child is 11 or 12 years old.
Gardaí were alerted to a report that a young boy had fallen into the River Boyne at around 10.15pm last night.
Divers along with the Coastguard helicopter were involved in the operation.
Searches have continued this morning.
