Sex Pistols are to play a huge US Tour with Frank Carter, according to guitarist Steve Jones.
In a recent interview, Jones said that plans for a US tour are on the horizon, while also discussing the band's much maligned tour of the country in 1978.
In 1978, Sex Pistols' manager Malcolm McLaren booked relatively obscure venues for the band to perform in, which were often filled with rather hostile audiences.
Just days after their live performance in San Francisco on January 14, then frontman John Lydon, aka Johnny Rottem, left the band. That was the Sex Pistol's last show, until they reformed in 1996.
The Sex Pistols have not toured in the US since 2003, or played a show there since 2008.
In a recent interview, Steve Jones was asked if the Pistols would return to the US for a tour, to which the guitarist replied: "We are!".
When it was put to him about why this news had not been announced officially, Jones replied: “Yeah, but no one knows where we’re playing".
But, Jones remained coy on any other details regarding this tour.
“I don’t wanna put my foot in it! I’m excited. I know the dates, so I know it’s gonna be good…", he said.
Last November, Steve Jones revealed that he has not spoken to former Pistols bandmate John Lydon, since their 2008 tour of the US.
