Speaking about the upcoming tour, Simple Minds' frontman Jim Kerr said, "Concerts are the lifeblood of Simple Minds, it's where we and our audience come alive and energised through music".
"Four decades on from when we first set out, this global tour will demonstrate that Simple Minds are still alive and kicking!".
The band have sold 60 million albums worldwide, with their latest album arriving last year.
Having formed in the 1970s, they got their name from the lyric "simple minded" from David Bowie's 1972 hit 'The Jean Genie'.
