Sinéad O’Connor Exact Cause Of Death Confirmed

Back in January, a coroner had stated that Sinéad O’Connor had died of natural causes, according to their report.

A representative for Southwark Coroners Court said this.

This is to confirm that Ms O’Connor died of natural causes”, they stated. “The coroner has therefore ceased their involvement in her death”.

Now, according to the Irish Independent, the singer’s death certificate which was registered by her ex husband John Reynolds, has revealed that Sinéad O’Connor died from a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease otherwise known as COPD, and asthma.

It also says that O’Connor reportedly died from a “lower-grade respiratory tract infection”.

This was certified by Inner South London’s senior coroner Julian Morris, following the completion of a post-mortem examination without request.

Several household names paid tribute to Sinéad O’Connor, including Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan who once recalled how he got to know her while she was living temporarily in a mutual friend’s attic. Find out more on this here.

News of the singer’s cause of death also comes after the National Wax Museum confirmed that they are pulling their wax figure of Sinéad O’Connor.

They said that they intend to produce a new figure to “create a more accurate representation” of her. More on this from Nova here.
