The remains of the late Sinéad O’Connor, who was found dead in her London home last week, have been released to her family, The Irish Times is reporting on Thursday evening.
A statement issued by London Inner South district for Southwark Coroners Court to the newspaper says her autopsy will be publicly disclosed if an inquest into her death is called.
The 56-year-old Glenageary woman was found by police officers in her Brixton apartment last week, prompting a global outpouring of emotion and vivid recall of her greatness.
Vigils have been held at Dublin City Hall last week and in London, principally on Thursday evening last for a well-attended remembrance at the Irish Centre in Camden.
