Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan revealed in March that the band have begun work on a new record. "I'm starting to write new songs for the next Pumpkins album" stated Corgan. "I got a
lot going on. I have a title for the next album but I won't tell. It’s
going to be a cruel record. Vengeance is mine."
Smashing Pumpkins will play three UK tour dates later this year, starting in Manchester
on July 1st, then performing in Glasgow on July 2nd before returning later
in the month for their London gig on July 22nd.

The group's performance is taken from their Guitar Centre Sessions show, which will be aired in full on DirectTV on May 17th.This is the second Bowie cover to surface this week, as astronaut Chris Hadfield has become the first man to record a music video in space, when he recorded the song aboard the International Space Station.
