Dublin Zoo may have been closed to the public for the day, but that doesn't mean the residents were hiding out.

Just like us, the animals had a snow day and these photos from their roaming are so cool!

Dublin Zoo has implemented its cold weather contingency plan as the weather alert hits, whereby all animals will have continuous access to their heated houses and in some cases extra heaters have been installed for animals of warmer climates.

Animal care is obviously to the forefront of the Zoo and we think it's a wonderful reminder to all to care for their pets during Storm Emma, bringing them inside and making sure they keep warm.Southern White Rhino Dublin Zoo CreditPainted African Dogs 2 Dublin Zoo CreditZebra Dublin Zoo CreditWhite Crowned Mangabey Dublin Zoo Credit

When I'm not at my desk you'll find me hiding behind a lens, a book or attending GAA games across the country. If not, I'll be busy complaining about the weather!

Also – I’m a festival lover, so when the summers out I spend most of my time nestled in the sweaty trench of any concert hall that will let me in the doors...

Standard and basic – enjoy :)
