A brand new coloured, vinyl edition of Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Born In The USA’ is to be released to mark its 40th anniversary.
This special vinyl release will be produced by Sony Music, launching tomorrow (June 14).
Available on translucent red vinyl, the record will come with brand new gatefold packaging, including a booklet with material from that era, as well as a four colour lithograph, and liner notes scribed by Erik Flannigan.

Bruce Springsteen’s Born In The USA: “unprecedented”
In a statement, Sony Music said that Bruce Springsteen’s Born In The USA album had a “once-in-a-generation impact”.
“Released on June 4, 1984, Born In The USA had an unprecedented seven top 10 singles, sold over 20 million copies to date and captured the pop culture zeitgeist with once-in-a-generation impact”, they said.
“Springsteen And The E Street Band’s accompanying Born In The USA tour included 156 sold-out performances across the globe, while tracks like Dancing In The Dark, No Surrender and Glory Days remain staples of their live show to this day”.
Earlier this month, Bruce Springsteen paid tribute to his fans, with many organising their own parties on the days of his cancelled shows from his ongoing tour.
“It’s Bruce Springsteen, calling from the wild lands of New Jersey, where I’m just getting over my vocal bug”, the singer said.
He also added: “I have to apologize again for missing those concerts. But more importantly than that, I have to thank our incredible fans in the cities of Marseilles and Milan and Prague for their beautiful serenading when we weren’t feeling so good”.
“It was really touching, deeply emotional, and it’s something I won’t forget. We will be back and we will give you the show of your lives. Thank you very much!”.
