A new film by Bruce Springsteen has been made about his entire performance of his solo album Western Stars, his most recent release.
According to Variety, Springsteen was speaking in a recent interview he had given to the magazine, “We made a film of us playing the Western Stars album start to finish, plus some other things."
The Boss added: “I knew we weren’t going to tour, so I figured this was the best way to do it.” The movie is directed by Thom Zimmy and will be out within the year.
Springsteen worked with Zimmy last year on a Broadway film as well as numerous other music videos, short films and documentaries which include 2014’s Hunter of Invisible Game.
Earlier this year Springsteen announced he was going to record a new album with the E Street Band with the possibility of a tour next year.
