Good thing Stevie Nicks’ songs aren’t like Gold Dust…she’s a new solo album on the way.
24 Karat Gold will feature songs the Fleetwood Mac singer wrote between 1969 and 1987 as well as a couple from the mid 90s and will be released in the autumn.
And what inspired Stevie to go through the archives? YouTube, apparently! The gypsy queen said she found some original bootlegs on the video site and was inspired to bring them back to life.
She’s told her fans: “Each song is a lifetime. Each song has a soul. Each song has a purpose. Each song is a love story. They represent my life behind the scenes, the secrets, the broken hearts, the broken hearted and the survivors. These songs are the memories — the 24 karat gold rings in the blue box. These songs are for you. I call them my 24 karat gold songs ”
The album’s artwork will also feature previously unreleased photos taken throughout Nicks’ career.
It’s busy times for the singer, who’s preparing for a US tour with Fleetwood Mac. The ‘On With The Show’ Tour will also feature singer, songwriter and keyboardist Christine McVie back in the fold and kicks off September 30th in Minneapolis.
Stevie will also be cropping up on the small screen in America after she signed up to appear as judge Adam Levine’s advisor on the reality singing show The Voice.
