‘Bill Ward couldn’t cut it” says Ozzy

The frontman claims the band's former drummer couldn't remember what to do.

Speaking to Mojo, Osbourne claims that "We looked at Bill, and he couldn't remember what the f**k we were doing. But he didn't come clean and say, 'I can't cut this gig, but can we work something out, guys, where I'll come on but with another drummer backing me up?' Or, 'I'll come and play a few songs.' That would have been cool."

"You know them yellow f***ing stick-on memo notes? He had them all over his f***ing drums," continues Osbourne. "I was like, 'What the f**k's that for, Bill?' He said, 'I can't remember what I'm doing.' I go, 'How are you gonna remember out of those 500,000 bits of paper stuck all over your kit, which one you're looking at, Bill?'"

Sabbath recently announced a series of UK arena dates in December 2013, which will kick off at London's O2 Arena on December 12th, finishing with a homecoming date at Birmingham’s LG Arena on December 20th.

Ozzy admits doing drugs again

Singer apologises to family, friends and fans.

Ozzy Osbourne has admitted to having a relapse in his intoxication habits recently.

"For the last year and a half I have been drinking and taking drugs,” posted Ozzy in a statement Monday evening. "I was in a very dark place and was an asshole to the people I love most, my family. However, I am happy to say that I am now 44 days sober.”

The statement comes amid rumours that he and wife Sharon, who have been enjoying marital bliss (more or less) for 31 years, are splitting.

"Just to set the record straight, Sharon and I are not divorcing,” said Ozzy. "I’m just trying to be a better person. I would like to apologize to Sharon, my family, my friends and my band mates for my insane behavior during this period.........and my fans. God Bless, Ozzy.”

A spokesperson for Sharon said the band were staying apart due to their overwhelming work commitments. Black Sabbath are currently preparing for the launch of their world tour in support of upcoming album "13".
