A man charged with murder following a stabbing in Tallaght has been further remanded in custody.
36-year-old Patrick Murphy of Drumcairn Parade, Tallaght, was charged with the murder of 20-year-old Jordan Rowan.
Mr. Rowan, also known as Pakenham, died following an incident in the early hours of July 26th at Drumcairn Avenue.
In response to caution, Mr. Murphy had said: “I’m real sorry that he died. I didn’t mean for this to happen.”
Following a brief hearing at Dublin District Court on July 27th, he was remanded in custody.
Mr Murphy appeared via video link at the Cloverhill District Court today.
However, prosecutors needed more time to complete the book of evidence.
The Judge remanded Mr Murphy in continuing custody to appear again on September 24th because the accused would not consent to a four-week adjournment.
My Murphy had been granted legal aid earlier.
The deceased, Jordan Rowan or Pakenham was the eldest of four children in a family from the Rossfield area of Tallaght, about a kilometre from the scene.
