On Christmas Eve, as he was having dinner with family and friends at Browne’s Steakhouse in Blanchardstown, 48-year-old James Hennessy Senior was shot.

He later died from his injuries at the Mater hospital eleven days later.

The gunman, 26-year-old Tristan Sherry, died in the restaurant after being overpowered and disarmed. Two men are before the courts charged with his murder.

He’s accused of doing so with two others. He was granted bail today and is due back in court on the 26th of March.
