Ten Hail Marys have been named as Radio Nova’s New Local Heroes.
A New Local Hero is a call for Irish musicians and bands who have made submissions over the last few days.
From 80 artists who have performed and interviewed for local radio, one act for each radio station has been nominated as contenders for the national A New Local Hero award.
The Dublin Alternative rockers are will be included on the final list of representatives from each of the 20 radio stations in question.
Ten Hail Marys came on top for Radio Nova from a list of nominees including Speakers, Hannah McGinn, and Yes Chef!
The band will be part of a list of acts who will go forward and perform at the special event at the Academy, Dublin on 15 October.

Chosen as Radio Nova’s representative for A Local Here, Ten Hail Marys are one of the most exciting alt-rock bands to emerge from Dublin’s guitar band scene.
Having sold out their debut show in February 2023, the band have also shared their single ‘I Had A Dream’, as well as having a collaboration with renowned Dublin rapper Curtisy to look forward to in October.
