The Beatles won their eighth Grammy Award at this year's ceremony, thanks to their final track, 'Now and Then'.

'Now and Then' which was originally recorded as a demo from the late John Lennon before his tragic death in 1980, won the award for Best Rock Performance at this year's awards ceremony.

The song came out on top ahead of tracks from Green Day, 'The American Dream Is Killing Me', the Black Keys' 'Beautiful People', Pearl Jam's 'Dark Matter', Idles', 'Gift Horse', as well as 'Broken Man' by St Vincent.

Accepting the award was John Lennon's son, Sean Ono Lennon, who spoke to the audience.

“Play the Beatles’ music to your kids,” he said. “I feel like the world can’t afford to forget about people like the Beatles. Like, we need this music in the world; we need peace and love".

'Now and Then' also earned a Grammy nod for Record of the Year, which went to Kendrick Lamar's 'Not Like Us'.

In 2023, Paul McCartney revealed that he was able to put 'Now and Then' together, thanks to the use of AI. More on this here.

Following its release, 'Now and Then' hit top spot in the singles charts. Find out more on this here.
