Bord Gáis Energy Theatre have unveiled a spectacular 2025 season, packed with an exciting line-up of shows and exclusive events set to take centre stage next year, including the official stage musical of a music legend TINA: THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL which tells the transformative story of humble beginnings in Nutbush to global Rock n’Roll icon, running from 27 May -14 June.
Among the other shows coming in the new year is the eagerly anticipated arrival of Steve Coogan in the stage adaptation of Stanley Kubrick’s iconic film DR. STRANGELOVE. Bord Gáis Energy Theatre will also have its first full, in-house musical production; the cult classic; LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS running from July 25 – August 9. While the “must-see” show for Christmas 2025 will be MOULIN ROUGE! THE MUSICAL filling the theatre from November 20 – January 11.
As in the film, MOULIN ROUGE! THE MUSICAL celebrates over 160 years of music – from Offenbach to Lady Gaga. The stage musical features over 70 iconic songs, many from the movie as well as recent hits released since the movie premiered over 20 years ago.
MOULIN ROUGE! THE MUSICAL is the winner of ten 2021 Tony Awards including Best Musical, an Olivier Award, two Drama League Awards including Outstanding Production of a Musical, five Drama Desk Awards and ten Outer Critics Circle Award Honor citations including New Broadway Musical.

Also coming to Ireland, for the very first time at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in 2025, NOW THAT’S WHAT I CALL A MUSICAL (21 -24 January) starring ex- Eastender Nina Wadia and 80 ‘S icon Sinitta will be followed by the Oliver Award winning & JULIET which combines the chart topping music of super producer Max Martin and a hilarious book by Schitts Creek writer David West Read (25 Feb-08 March).
Comedy fans are also in for luvly jubly time when legendary The Fast Show creator Paul Whitehouse comes to town in ONLY FOOLS AND HORSES THE MUSICAL (30 June -05 July) and to further tickle your funny bone, a major new production of FRIENDS THE MUSICAL PARODY comes to Dublin from 21-25 October.
