Hollywood golden couple Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, who recently recovered from the coronavirus, are doing their bit to help in the fight against the deadly virus.
Speaking on NPR's Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me! podcast recently Hanks said, that he and his wife Rita volunteered to donate their blood after learning that they carry the coronavirus antibodies.
"We will be giving it now to the places that hope to work on what I would like to call the 'Hank-ccine'", the actor joked.
The couple tested positive for the virus in early March while in Australia, during pre- production on Baz Luhrmann’s untitled Elvis Presley biopic.
Hanks kept his followers updated on social media throughout his and Wilson's coronovirus recovery.
The pair are now back in Los Angeles following hospitalisation and self-isolation in Australia.
