Gardaí are currently investigating a road traffic collision which occurred on the Clane Road, Sallins, on November 27th.
The collision which took place at approximately 7.45am saw a van collide with a male pedestrian.
The 16-year-old boy was crossing the road, suffering serious injuries before being removed to Naas General Hospital and later transferred to Beaumont Hospital while the driver of the van was uninjured.
However, the teen sadly passed away on Tuesday evening, November 28th from injuries sustained.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses who may have been in the area or on the Clane Road between 7.40am and 7.45am on Monday, or any motorists who may have had a dash cam.
