Travis frontman Fran Healy has shared an fresh health update after an accident while performing on stage.
This happened while Travis were performing at the Showbox venue in Seattle, Washington, when Healy twisted his angle as the band started to leave the stage after their live set.
Now, Fran Healy has revealed via social media that he had to be escorted from the venue on a gurney, before being taken to hospital, where he was relieved to find out that his ankle had not been broken, despite original fears.
“If anyone saw me being wheeled out of the venue last night on a gurney and being put into an ambulance it’s because I seriously twisted my ankle stepping off stage", Healy said. “As I was waving goodbye to everyone, it sort of twisted around back to front".
“We thought it was broken, went to hospital, thankfully it’s just a really gnarly sprain", he added.
Healy also confirmed that all remaining Travis shows will go ahead has planned, telling fans that he will be wearing "one of those massive space shoes" to wear at these shows.
“The show must go on, we’ll see you there, we’ll see you on the rest of the tour,” the musician concluded. “I’m fine, I’m slightly dizzy just now because I’m on some painkillers but apart from that it’s all good".
