Two men have been arrested after a violent burglary in Leopardstown in Dublin yesterday afternoon.
They were interrupted when a group of seven residents found them entering a house around 3pm.
They were attempting to steal various items but were noticed when a noise was heard. Residents from the house interrupted them and a scuffle broke out.
Gardaí arrived on scene as the men were attempting to get away, they also found a hammer and stolen goods.
All seven residents were injured and some required medical treatment. Both men were taken to Dundrum Garda Station and investigations are ongoing.
