Two Dublin schools have shut immediately. That’s after issues were found during structural checks that were being carried out at 30 schools. The schools were constructed by Western Building Systems.
Over 1,000 children go to St Luke's National School in Mulhuddart and Tyrrelstown Educate Together which have both shut today.
Earlier in the week, structural issues forced the closure of Ardgillan Community College in Balbriggan which was forced to close one of its buildings.
Educate Together said in a statement, "The Department of Education and Skills has announced that Tyrrelstown Educate Together National School is to close with immediate effect, following a safety assessment conducted at the school today.”
