At their opening Vegas residency show of 2024, U2 covered Crowded House's song 'Don't Dream It's Over'.

Last Friday (January 26), Bono and co performed their opening show of the residency for 2024, which began in October, and has been extended due to high demand.

U2 will finish off this residency at the history making MSG Sphere in Las Vegas in March.

Their opening performance at the venue for this year saw the band perform 'Don't Dream It's Over', a track originally released by Crowded House.

They performed this track as a tribute to the Australian band's lead singer Neil Finn, along with his brother and longtime collaborator Tim. He also paid tribute to their mother Mary.

Check out this performance below.

U2 Extend 'Achtung Baby' Residency

Last month, U2 confirmed the final days from their history making residency.

Having kicked off this residency last September, the band have since extended the tour into March.

These dates will see U2 perform at the venue on February 23 and 24, as well as March 1 and 2. They had initially planned to finish off this tour in December.

This news comes just weeks after U2 had also confirmed that plans for a new album were put on hold, as drummer Larry Mullen Jr recovers from neck surgery.
