U2 tops the Sunday Times Rich List as the richest entertainers in Ireland with a combined wealth of €647M.
Colm Murphy who compiled the list, said: “42 years on from their formation, U2 continue to carry everything before them, chalking up new records in the past year as a result of both their sheer longevity and their sustained brilliance.”
Derry born actress and TV producer, Roma Downey, and her husband Mark Burnett, were named as the second richest entertainers in Ireland with a combined worth of €443M.
While Lord of the Dance, Michael Flatley, completes the top three on €230M.
Former One Direction star, Niall Horan from Co. Westmeath is the only person under the age of 40 on the Richest Entertainers List, and secures his place with an estimated €52M.
Bob Geldof, Enya and Graham Norton also made the list compiled by Colm Murphy.
Daniel O’Donnell was named on the list at number 20 of Ireland’s entertainers with a personal fortune of €31M, while Northern Ireland actor Liam Neeson is one of the most bankable stars in Hollywood.
