U2 have announced plans to release a ZOO TV - Live In Dublin 1993 EP, including five tracks recorded from their show at the RDS in 1993.
This show was part of the band's European Zooropa leg of their remarkable ZOO TV Tour, which saw Bono and co tour the world between February 1992 and December 1993.
The RDS show was also broadcasted on radio, allowing almost 700 million fans around the world to listen in with a ZOO TV invitation to "Watch More Radio".
The tour saw U2 perform in front of 5.3 million fans over 157 shows, supporting their 1991 album Achtung Baby.
ZOO TV - Live In Dublin 1993 which arrives in August, also includes the tracks Zoo Station, Mysterious Ways, Tryin' To Throw Your Arms Around The World, Stay (Faraway, So Close!) and Love Is Blindness.
Back in March, U2 wrapped up their record breaking residency at Las Vegas' MSG Sphere, with their final show seeing them pay tribute drummer Larry Mullen Jr.
Mullen Jr was forced to miss out on this residency, having been recovering from neck surgery.
On the night, U2 lead singer Bono told the audience: “Not since October 1978 have we played shows without Larry Mullen Jr., and it’s only right I start by introducing the man who saved the day when Larry Mullen could not make it”.
He also added: “His name is already legend around here to people who can pronounce it. The flying while sitting-in Dutchman, Bram van den Berg on drums”.
The singer also denied rumours that Mullen was due to return for the final night of the residency.
That final night also saw the crowd chant the drummer's name.
“That is the man who pinned the note on the notice board at Mount Temple Comprehensive School all those years ago. And we are very grateful that he did and that he’s here with us tonight. We wish him a speedy, speedy, speedy recovery. We love you, Larry Mullen Jr”, Bono said. More on this from Nova here.
