Jimmy Page‘s legendary ‘mirror’ guitar has been added to Fender’s new range! There’s a great animation streaming below.
The guitar company have also shared a video of the Led Zeppelin frontman recounting the “psychedelic story” behind the instrument. See the clip below.
At the start of this year, Fender revealed that two replica models would be released to pay tribute to Led Zeppelin’s 50th anniversary.
The axes are called the ‘Dragon’ and ‘Mirror’ models of Page’s Telecaster. The company have shared an animated video of Page, where he tells the “psychedelic story” behind the piece of kit.
The clip is called, ‘The Mystical Journey of Jimmy Page’s ’59 Telecaster’, According to the NME, the animation features Page’s voice telling the story of the time Jeff Beck gifted him the guitar:
“He said, ‘Here, this is yours’, and he gave me the Telecaster. It’s a lot of love in that gesture and the journey of it through The Yardbirds and how it was used on the first Led Zeppelin album…the journey all the way through here today.”
