Liam Gallagher rocked Dublin with three Definitely Maybe era Oasis songs for the first time in years at Malahide Castle on Friday, June 15th. Videos from the Dublin show are available to watch below…
The Irish stop is a handful of big headline shows he has scheduled for this summer. This was the first time Gallagher had performed the songs without his fellow Oasis bandmates.
He kicked off the evening with a mix of old hits like ‘Rock’n’Roll Star’ and ‘Morning Glory’, and recent solo tracks such as ‘Wall Of Glass’ and ‘Paper Crown’. Then the wayward Manc and his backing band launched into ‘Bring It On Down’. It was the first time the song had been played live since 2006.
Immediately after, they blasted ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’ and the infamous b-side ‘Listen Up’, Oasis last played that song together way back in 1996. The main set concluded with a rendition of ‘Whatever’, which last appeared in an Oasis set in 2009. Noel Gallagher has played ‘Listen Up‘ and ‘Whatever‘ in solo sets and with his band, High Flying Birds.
