A car crashed through a level crossing located at Porterstown, in Co. Dublin yesterday. The incident caused major delays across city rail services.
Irish Rail released footage of the moment. They also confirmed that Gardai had been alerted to catch the culprit. According to Breaking News, Iarnrod Eireann crews were sent to repair the crossing as services for Maynooth, M3 Parkway, Longford and Sligo were badly affected.
Irish Rail said in their online statement, "Criminal reckless damage caused to Porterstown Level Crossing by motorist, causing major delays to Maynooth, M3 Parkway, Longford/Sligo services. Crews en route to repair and control crossing. Gardai alerted to pursue culprit."
