According to WIVB, a Texas family caused mild hysteria after their all too realistic Christmas decorations made passersby call the police.
The Heerlein family were honouring the National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation by making a replica of the scene where, Clark played by Chevy Chase hangs from the roof while attempting to put up Christmas lights.
Although it’s clearly a dummy, passersby by were worried enough to phone for help. The family has since included a sign making it crystal clear that the display is a fake!
