An art thief stole a painting worth over 700,000 Euro from a gallery in Moscow, Russia last Sunday. The cool cat committed the crime in front of unsuspecting people who assumed he was an employee there.
The heist happened at Moscow’s Tretyakov Gallery in front of onlookers. CCTV film showed the thief slowly walking up to the work of art. After pausing to peruse the painting of a Crimean mountaintop, by Arkhip Kuindzhi, the man then unashamedly took it off the wall and walked out. Check out the video below.
Russian police have now recovered the painting after the art thief, a 31-year-old man told them where he had hidden the stolen artwork.
