Metallica axeman Kirk Hammett took a bit of a fall whilst onstage at the metaller's concert in Milan, Italy last week. The unashamed rocker shared video of the tumble below.
Hammett was in the middle a solo on the track "Moth Into Flame" at roughly the midpoint of the set. Antimusic reports both the band and the crowd were getting soaked as rain in the face bucketed down throughout the show.
Hammet was attempting to operate a slippery wah-wah pedal and tumbled backwards, slamming on to the stage on his back. However, the nimble guitarist quickly righted himself while chuckling about the incident and continuing the song.
Hammett described the incident on Instagram as well as two video clips:
"Ummm- I slipped on my wet wah pedal. It rained so much I felt like I was playing guitar in the shower - #slipperywhenwet #wahwahwah #metallicafamily #Metinmilan @metallica. When it rains it pours. Thank You Milan!,"
