Arcade Fire recently performed with David Byrne at a charity fundraiser gig in Montreal over the weekend. The Talking Heads man joined the band onstage for a couple of songs.
Arcade Fire were playng at the Montreal’s Society for Arts and Technology event on Saturday (February 20th). The fundraiser was thrown in aid of the pro-Haiti charity co-founded by Arcade Fire’s Régine Chassagne.
She was joined by husband and fellow band member Win Butler as well as guitarist Richard Reed Parry. David Byrne joined them to perform Talking Heads tracks including 'Road To Nowhere' and 'Naive Melody'
The somewhat scaled-down version of Arcade Fire also played with Saul Williams and Preservation Hall Jazz Band on the night. Those in attendance were able to capture footage of Arcade Fire and David Byrne performing.
The Canadian band recently announced their schedule for this year with a number of festival dates. They will headline Bilbao BBK in Spain and Lisbon's NOS Alive in July. They join fellow NOS Alive headliners Radiohead on the bill for the Portugese festival's 10th birthday celebrations.
