On Sunday evening, Bruce Springsteen performed another mammoth set live at Kilkenny's Nowlan Park as part of his ongoing tour, where he paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Shane MacGowan.

Whilst on stage, The Boss delivered a beautiful cover of classic 1986 Pogues hit, 'A Rainy Night In Soho' in tribute to their late frontman, in front of a packed Nowlan Park over the weekend.

This moving delivery from the Boss was also shared online by Aiken Promotions. Check their video out here.

Shane MacGowan died last November aged 65, and in a statement, Springsteen said this of the late musician: "Shane was one of my all-time favorite writers".

Springsteen On Tour

This Kilkenny show is the latest from Springsteen's ongoing tour with the E Street Band.

Having kicked off this tour with a show at Cardiff's Principality Stadium, the Boss also performed a huge set in Belfast recently.

The show itself included fans holding posters aloft with messages such as: "I’ve waited since God was a boy for your harmonica!”.

As luck would have it, one lucky fan was handed the famous harmonica by the end of the night.

The night also saw Springsteen dance with with another fan in the front row, and high five his adoring following.

“Now if you’re out there tonight there’s just one thing I want to know”, Springsteen also told the Belfast crowd. “Can you feel it? Can you feel it, feel it now? Can you feel the spirit? If you can feel the spirit I want you to answer me a mighty yeah yeah!”.

More on this from Nova here.

By the time the Boss finishes off his Irish leg of the tour on May 19 in Croke Park, he will have played in front of one million Irish fans.

All this week on Radio Nova, we are also offering you the chance to be the Millionth fan to have seen Bruce Springsteen in Ireland. Find out more here.
