Courtney Love was just one of the acts who performed at the recent Fleetwood Mac Festival. Last night (February 9th) saw the first leg of a two day charity festival dedicated to Fleetwood Mac.
Some of rock and roll’s leading ladies were on show paying tribute to the pioneering Fleetwood Mac. Courtney Love, The Kills’ Alison Mosshart and Juliette Lewis were just some of the names who performed.
Other notable acts who played at the show were Mark Ronson, Weezer’s Brian Bell and comedians Will Forte and Sarah Silverman. It is all part of the Fleetwood Mac edition of The Best Fest, which is taking place at LA’s Fonda Theatre.
The Best Fest is a series of events that pays tribute to specific bands and artists, with a number of famous musicians coming together to celebrate their work. Proceeds from the show will go to Sweet Relief Musicians Fund and the Sweet Stuff Foundation.
Countless videos from the night were put up online showing artists playing classic Fleetwood Mac songs. Among them were Hole frontwomen Courtney Love who performed ‘Silver Springs’ and Alison Mosshart who performed ‘Dreams’.
