Foo Fighters gave fans in Kansas City, Missouri, a special treat to a cover of Metallica’s ‘Enter Sandman’ on Friday Night, the 12th of October.

However, the rendition had an added bonus as Dave Grohl and co invited a 10-year-old fan up on to the stage to help out and play the guitar on the song. You can watch footage of the moment below.

According to the NME, Fan footage shows Grohl ask the young lad called Collier if he knows how to play the guitar. When he answers “yes”, the Foos lead singer then asked “What do you know?” To which Collier responds, “I know a lot of Metallica songs.” The kid then breaks into the opening riff of ‘Enter Sandman’ and Grohl and the boys join in.

Grohl then goes on to ask whether the fan knew anything else, to which he replies by simply launching into Metallica’s ‘Welcome Home (Sanitarium).’

Later during the show, Grohl joked about Ed Sheeran’s concert in the same city that night, saying: “He ain’t got nothing on Collier.”
